Distribution businesses · funding preparation

Put important dates beside the budget

Gross order value is different from the cash tied up in an order. Deduct deposits and consider returns or customer payment terms when estimating the amount that needs funding.

Your funding purpose

Put the expense into context

01

Inventory purchasing

Minimum orders and supplier deposits can create a large upfront commitment. Use confirmed customer demand and stock already held when defining the purchase.

02

Handling equipment

Packing stations, pallet equipment and loading aids can support a change in order volume. Include setup costs and the space needed to use them.

03

Regular costs between receipts

Freight, warehouse labor and supplier balances may come due on different dates. Break the request into those obligations and identify expected customer payment dates.

Look beyond the headline

Assess the commitment behind an offer

01

Funds received

Separate the headline amount from proceeds after deductions and fees.

02

Payments owed

Place the required repayments in the same budget as existing business expenses.

03

Changes and exit

Read what the contract says about early payment, missed payments and changed circumstances.

Start with the facts

Gather the essentials before applying

Work out the expense and its payment deadline before choosing the requested funding amount.

  • 01The expense you plan to fund and its timeline
  • 02How long you have operated and your revenue band
  • 03The sector you work in, business name and credit band
  • 04Owner email and phone details for the verification step

What to expect from us

Answers before you submit

How do referrals and compensation work?

We are paid to refer business applications and sell the submitted details to funding partners. A request may reach up to five partners, payment to us is not conditional on funding, and you do not pay this service an application fee.

Can a request be declined?

No funding commitment is created by completing this request. Eligibility, amounts and contract terms are matters for the provider assessing the application.

How is the review schedule determined?

The application lets you state when funding is needed, but availability is decided separately. A partner’s assessment and agreement may take longer than the business deadline.

Why does the form ask for contact consent?

Take time to read the application’s contact permission and privacy disclosures. SMS verification is an additional step that confirms you can receive a code at the supplied number.
